Cold Plasma for a Dehisced Wound After Breast Implant Surgery

Treatment type: Post-surgical wound dehiscence (breast implant) · Treatment length: 2 sessions

Moving the helium cold-plasma tip along the opened surgical site
The prosthesis incision on this patient had opened along the suture line instead of closing, with crusting along its edges. We chose helium cold plasma for it: a non-thermal method whose tip works over the wound without pressure or direct contact. The aim is to lower the microbial load on the wound surface and support healing. In this video we move the tip along the full length of the incision, and the violet glow of the plasma is visible. This patient came to Dialine for two sessions in total.
